It's a great escape from my drab little life and the beating I'm taking from Sandor and Afton every day! :)

I remember well the pains of learning another language. Korean was so hard for me. I think Coco's right though, the best way to learn more is to use what you've got. When I first got to Korea, I could only say a few sentences..."The weather is warm, huh?" "I am from America." "I have two sisters and six brothers. I am the last."

That was it!! I said it over and over. We rode the bus all day and I'd sit next to a new person every time and go through my lines. My companion seriously wanted to kill me. It drove her crazy...but it worked! Hee, hee, hee.

Flan, I love you so. Good luck tomorrow at school!

Tante SageSagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14959948692517758940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6468955214522251987.post-36846832121192294192009-09-04T23:04:59.538-07:002009-09-04T23:04:59.538-07:00and by the way heres some quality tunes if youre i...and by the way heres some quality tunes if youre interested. Things like the way the woman pointed differently than the others at first but changed it to be consistent with the others. And it was so clear that none of them knew the right directions!
I also liked the rose bark story. Let's face it--bark is bark. Or is it?
Keep up the quality posts. We won't keep reading if you write crap. I would say that the first stage is more along the lines of "profound alienation mingled with complete certitude that you've just made a really huge mistake"!! yes I think there must be method to the AFS orientation madness . . . the idea must be that if you are waiting eagerly for the honeymoon stage to begin, that will carry you through the first few weeks of completely horrendous culture shock. And then by the time you realize there's not going to be any honeymoon, your outlook will have started to improve, and you'll have realized that you are going to be able to handle it! VERY CRAFTY!!

MuttiMuttihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00509065230762299731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6468955214522251987.post-45290232649887862012009-09-04T06:32:33.321-07:002009-09-04T06:32:33.321-07:00Hey, Bogor klingt grossartig!!

HDL mein Schatz!!

MuttiMuttihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00509065230762299731noreply@blogger.com
